Supervised Living
Supervised Living Services are designed to provide 24-hour staff supports to people with disabilities who reside together in a household. The goal of Supervised Living Services is to enhance the life of an individual by providing the staff assistance needed to live happily and safely in a residential neighborhood.
Depending upon each person’s abilities, staff will provide guidance and assistance in the needed levels of daily living activities to maintain health and safety of the person served. Siffrin's staff will work closely with families to help provide for and assess the best residential, home-like setting for a family member. Staff will focus on supporting and advocating for the people we serve. Siffrin encourages family involvement in the best interest of the individual, and promotes an open exchange of information between all parties, so life goals and wishes can be pursued.
Siffrin’s philosophy is based upon the principle that the house is a person's home. It is normal for family members to visit each other; staff will assist in the family activities to visit either in the individual's home or the family home.
Siffrin's Finance Department maintains benefit eligibility for each person. This department also monitors the finances of each person on a monthly basis to ensure monies are being allocated appropriately. In the home, staff is required to account for all purchases and distribution of a person's funds. An individual financial ledger is maintained by staff to record all financial activities.
